The policy should also make clear which IM platform the company has selected, and whether it will be using encryption, secure log-ons, or other features to safeguard corporate communications. Having a policy and enforcing it may be even more important if your company decides to use a free public IM product, because they don’t offer the same kind of security features as enterprise solutions.

Companies that were initially wooed by the speed and convenience of messaging have come to rely on IM to keep workers in contact and on task. In response, messaging providers have stepped up their offerings to cater to business needs, adding features like file transfer, voice messages, and mobile capabilities.

Inainte de a enumera citeva din regulile de conduita ale mesageriei instanta trebuie sa va reamintim un lucru foarte important: mesageria instanta nu este un mod de comunicare real chiar daca pare mai reala decit celelalte modalitati asincrone de comunicare (email, forum, blog).

Daca persoana cu care vreti sa vorbiti este o persoana pe care o cunoasteti din vedere sau comunicati cu ea din interes de serviciu este recomandat sa nu insistati sa vorbiti cu ea. sper ca pe viitor sa nu mai pun o stire ce a aparut pe 30 decembrie dupa o saptamana.
